Mission, vision and values at St. George's
Our teaching staff and assistants strive every day to help our students to fulfil their academic, professional and personal potential.
Our mission is to...
prepare students to shape tomorrow through excellence in British education, with a global perspective.
Our vision is to...
give our students the skills they need to live successfully and happily in a world in which interconnection between countries becomes more important each day and where academic and professional mobility opens up a whole new world of opportunity.
Educational pillars
Studies suggest that 65 per cent of students currently in Primary School will end up pursuing careers in completely new jobs that do not yet exist. This is the great challenge facing educators today. To meet this challenge we have created a stimulating and comprehensive curriculum, designed around four key pillars:
Enrich
Challenge
Shape
Achieve
A values-based education
During their time at school our students begin to understand the importance of having values to support decision making at all stages of life. An education in values is an integral part of the curriculum, and life beyond the classroom. At St. George’s we nurture the following values in our students:
Independence
Each student will develop their own values and principles.
Challenge
We encourage students to go beyond their comfort zones to develop their full potential.
Breadth
Students become well rounded individuals, interested in both academic and extracurricular activities.
Tradition
A feeling of unity and respect for history and our heritage.
Globalism
The global currency of the English language, combined with a British international outlook.
Respect
Regard for the environment and for others.
Self Possession
Students develop emotional regulation and are calm and confident.
Imagination
We promote a creative and inventive spirit in all our students.
