Qualifications at St. George's
The English National Curriculum’s IGCSE and A-Level academic qualifications are internationally respected qualifications that are widely accepted as entry requirements to the most prestigious universities worldwide. Until we begin to teach these classes our students will continue with the Spanish bachillerato, a rigorous programme of study with acceptance into Spanish universities as well as European options.
What are the IGCSE and A-Level exams?
The IGCSE and A-Level qualifications are internationally recognised and respected the world over. These exam courses provide our students with lifelong knowledge and access to the best universities.
Access to Spanish Universities
Access to public or private Spanish universities with A-Level qualifications is guaranteed under the same conditions as Spanish students applying from Spanish schools.
Access to British Universities
At least two A-Level passes are normally required for access to British universities. For more prestigious universities, students will normally required least three A-Level subjects at grade B or above.
Students make their university application via UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admission Service) and the school provides help and guidance for our senior students throughout this process.
Access to International Universities
University access is not limited to Spain and the United Kingdom. A-Level qualifications also allow our students to go on to study at universities in Europe, the United States, Canada and the rest of the world.
