Cambridge House British International School: our latest academic results
As a British and international school, our students follow the National Curriculum of England, with an educational approach that promotes practical, experiential learning and the development of key skills, encouraging students to discover the world in a deeper way, nurturing their individual talents and developing their full potential.
In the education system, the Secondary stage is made up of Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, the latter culminating in the IGCSE examinations. As well as teaching core subjects and preparing students for their official exams, our secondary courses are designed to equip them with the critical, analytical and rational thinking skills necessary to enable them to become proactive, confident and successful members of society.
A success that is once again borne out by the academic results achieved by our students in their IGCSE and A-Levels examinations. Our Year 11 students achieved 55% A*-A and 92% A*-C at IGCSE. Equally remarkable are the results of the A-Levels, with 38% A* - A and 70% A* - C, academic results that have given them the opportunity to pursue higher education in the universities of their choice: many of them in Valencia, but also in international destinations such as UK, Netherlands, USA, Lebanon, Czech Republic or Belgium, among others. We wish them all the luck in the world in this new stage!
British academic qualifications
Unlike the Spanish education system, the final grades for British academic qualifications are published in mid-August. IGCSEs are like GCSEs but adapted to the environment of international schools such as Cambridge House British International School, which is perfect for the diversity and multiculturalism of our students. These academic qualifications will not only open doors to challenging A-Levels, but lay a solid foundation for future success, both at school and in their lives beyond Cambridge House.
The qualifications gained in these exams in the British education system are internationally respected and give access to the world's most prestigious universities. Our students sit the official examinations set and assessed by the external Cambridge and Edexcel Examination Boards, who will measure their skills and abilities, not only that of our students but of all students who follow the British education system outside the UK. At Cambridge House British International School we are committed to helping our students achieve academic excellence by supporting them at every stage of their educational journey.
