Our Green Georgians on the podium at the Bridgeston Barakaldo Urban Gathering

On Sunday, the 2nd of June, we had the last Goblin Gathering of the season, the Bridgestone Barakaldo Urban Gathering. With 19 teams competing, it was a fantastic day for all the children and parents involved.

Our Green Georgians team did a great job, earning third place in the Sprint race. After the races, they headed back to school for a picnic lunch with all team members and their parents. It was a nice way to relax and enjoy some time together!

In the evening, they had the rare opportunity to train on the whole track, something they can't usually do during school days because it's busy with other children. This special session gave the team some valuable extra practice.

Thanks to everyone who participated and supported them throughout the season. We're looking forward to more fun and races next year!

Motor Racing

Lucas Fernandez, Year 9, has recently taken up motor racing and on Saturday 1st June, he competed in his first race, The Copa Social Asturias! in the x30 Senior category for 13 to 16 year olds.

He qualified in eighth position, came seventh in the first race, and then started seventh in the second race. After dealing with a puncture, he was back in fourth position when a driver crashed into him, which resulted in a steering problem and Lucas having to retire from the race. However, he finished in sixth position overall, which he is very happy about for his first competition. We look forward to celebrate more sport successes in the future!
