The Globeducate Model United Nations is an event in which more than 150 pupils from 26 schools around the world took part

Being a member of Globeducate provides our students with enriching international experiences with the rest of the schools in the group, allowing them to meet people of other nationalities and cultures while testing their knowledge and fostering extracurricular skills which are very necessary to successfully face the challenges of the present, and the future. A great example of this is the Globeducate MUN (Model United Nations), held in Nice between 20th and 24th March, in which six students from Year 10, 4 ESO and 1º Baccalaureate took part: Victoria Munar, Eugenia González, Alfonso Herguedas, Andrés Souto, Edurne Chen y Javier Mancisidor, congratulations to you all for your remarkable work!

The Globeducate Model United Nations is an event in which more than 150 pupils from 26 schools around the world took part. It is a simulation of the United Nations that allows students to develop writing, negotiation and public speaking skills. Each student is given motions in advance relating to UN priorities and represents a UN country to debate key global issues, also encouraging conflict resolution and critical thinking skills.

The MUN coordinator said: "Our delegates all played an active role in their respective committees: asking Points of Information, proposing amendments, and presenting their own resolutions, several of which were passed. The difference in their confidence and abilities from the first day of the conference to the last day is outstanding: they all felt more comfortable speaking in public and presenting their ideas for discussion. Furthermore, they made lots of friends amongst the other students attending".

She also made the most of the experience by getting to know and exchanging ideas with other Globeducate teachers.
